Erin Abner

Math Intervention

Department(s):
School Support

Erin’s passion for education has been a lifelong journey which began while volunteering at The Boys and Girls Club and also while teaching karate. Erin received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston following which she began teaching in the Charleston County School District. She soon became intrigued with using hands-on instructional strategies in the classroom. This inspired Erin to return to the College of Charleston and obtain a Master’s degree in Science and Math. After completion of graduate school she transitioned out of the classroom into an instructional coach role. Erin and her family moved to Denver from Charleston, S.C. in 2016. Since joining the crew she has taught second – fifth grade. Currently Erin teaches math intervention using hands-on resources, games, STEM, and even art to engage mathematicians. She also serves as the MTSS coordinator and New Teacher Ambassador. When not at school Erin enjoys spending time with her family traveling and exploring national parks!
