Erin came to Centennial from Charleston, S.C. where she has lived most of her life. Her passion for education has been a lifelong journey which began while volunteering at The Boys and Girls Club and also while teaching karate. Erin received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston following which she began teaching in the Charleston County School District. She soon became intrigued with using hands-on instructional strategies in the classroom. This inspired Erin to return to the College of Charleston and obtain a Master’s degree in Science and Math. After completion of graduate school she transitioned out of the classroom into an instructional coach role. When Charleston County School District was awarded a Race to the Top Award to implement a competency-based personalized learning framework, she served as the demonstration coach and teacher for the district. Erin is excited to trade beaches for mountains as her family relocates to the Denver area.
