Lauren originally hails from Iowa, and has recently happily settled in Denver after living in different corners of the country, most recently DC. After teaching at a private school in NYC for two years, Lauren moved to the San Francisco area, where she taught in a high school class for students with emotional and behavioral challenges. She earned a Masters in School Psychology at San Francisco State University and then a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology at George Mason University in Virginia. Lauren worked as a psychologist in Fairfax County Public Schools for three years. She and her husband moved to Denver two years ago, and she spent last year working at Math and Science Leadership Academy, another public elementary school in DPS. Lauren enjoys working with diverse learners and helping families support their children’s social-emotional development. Lauren loves to travel to visit friends and family, as well as spend time exploring Denver and the surrounding area with her husband and energetic two year old son.
