Current Covid-19 Guidelines for Notification and Quarantine

Posted August 27, 2021

Every time we have a known positive COVID case we will send out a letter to the community providing general information regarding the situation.  If your child, or your child’s crew, is directly impacted by the positive COVID case you will get more direct information either from your crew’s teacher or school leadership.  You are always welcome to call the school to inquire more about the COVID notifications, but please know that infection information is confidential.

This year the process for quarantine/isolation will be slightly different from last year.  If a student or adult in a crew/the school tests positive only those individuals who were in close contact with that individual will be required to quarantine.  Close contact is defined as: unmasked within 3 ft of the person for 15 cumulative minutes over a 24 hr period, OR lives in the same household, OR sleeps in the same space, OR has direct contact with sick individuals, OR is identified as a close contact based on public health determination.

If there is every a case where quarantine is required there will be direct, confidential conversation with all students/families involved.

We hope this helps clarify a bit.  Please reach out should you have any questions at all.  Our nurse Elise Seebach 720-424-8910 is also able to answer any particular health questions.
