Our Book Chat is designed to bring together Centennial Families and staff to expand our knowledge, challenge our thinking and build community.
As Long As Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh is a young adult novel set during the Syrian Revolution. Pharmacy student Salama Kassab volunteers in a Homs hospital, treating the wounded while facing trauma and the choice to flee or stay. A story of love, survival, and resilience, it's praised for it's lyrical and vivid portrayal of life in conflict.
