Laura Munro has called Colorado home for almost 30 years, but was born and raised in New Orleans. After attending high school and college on the East coast she packed her bags and headed for the mountains of Colorado thinking she would only stay for a summer. Once she decided she wanted to work as an educator, she went back to school to get her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and an Endorsement in Bilingual Education. Laura began her teaching career at the elementary and preschool levels. Throughout her career she has served in a variety of capacities across some of the state’s largest school districts. In addition to being a classroom teacher, she’s been an Instructional Coach, ESL Director, and a Director of Student Achievement for Diverse Learners. When she’s not at Centennial Laura loves to mountain bike, cook, read and have adventures in the Colorado mountains with her husband, two daughters (Madigan and Anna) and her dog Ruby.
