Refuge Appreciation Day at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge 8:00-11:00 AM
(all ages) Plant seeds and beautify the Refuge. No registration required. All materials supplied.

April 23 – Nature Tots – Ribbit! at Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge 10:00-11:00 AM (ages 3-5 with adult) Register for this free program 303-289-0930
April 25 – Earth Day Children’s Event at Growing Gardens Urban Farm 10:00 AM-2:00 PM (ages 3-10 with adult) Admission and most activities are free. No registration required.
April 25 , May 9, May 16 – Have You Met Local Raptors? at North Table Mountain 9:00 AM -12:00 PM (ages 6-10 with an adult) Drop in Program, no registration or fee
April 26 – Dia de los Ninos at Denver Zoo. Free activities with general admission.

April 28 – Tiny Tots Inside the Orchestra at McNichols Building, Civic Center 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM (best suited for children 6 and under) $9.95 tickets
May 1 – Free Day at Four Mile Historic Park 12:00-4:00 PM (all ages) Farm animals and panning for gold!
May 3 – International Dawn Chorus Day at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge 6:00-9:00 AM (all ages) Wake up to a chorus of native birds. Bird walk with resident bird enthusiast Dave Rhodes. No registration required. Binoculars are encouraged.

May 8 & 9 – Colorado Chocolate Festival at Denver Merchandise Mart. Friday 4:00-9:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM. Admission $5. Kids age 1-4 are free. Taste Tickets are $10 for 12, $20 for 24
May 9 – Playdate with Nature: Flying on the Wind at Hildebrand Ranch 4:45-6:30 PM (designed for families with children 4+, but open to all ages) Build, decorate and fly your own kite. Register for this free program
May 13, 14, or 16 – Preschool Nature Nuts: Ponderosa Pine and Friends at Lookout Mountain Nature Center 10:15-11:00 AM or 11:15 AM-12:00 PM (ages 3-5 with adult) register for this free program
May 16 – Junior Astronomers: Solar System Stomp at Pine Valley Ranch 8:00-10:00 PM (ages 5+ with adult) Hike to Historic Baehr Observatory. Register for this free program

May 17 – Junior Naturalist: Meet the Raptors at South Valley 1:00-2:30 PM (ages 6-10 with adult) Register for this free program
May 27 – Up a Creek at Lair o’ The Bear 6:30-8:00 PM (all ages) hike and campfire. Register for this free program
May 30 – Jefco Open Space Nature Journal Club: Sketching in Colored Pencil at Hildebrand Ranch 10:00 AM-2:00 PM (all ages) Register for this free program
– Amazing Adventure Expo at Infinity Park featuring Animal Planet’s Jeff Corwin. Free admission and parking. 15 Food trucks, activities, live music and a beer garden.
May 31 – Denver Free Day at Museum of Nature and Science
June 6 – National Trails Day at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge and Majestic View Nature Center 10:00 AM-2:00 PM (all ages) Activities, arts & crafts, trail walks, wildlife presentations, exhibits & complimentary hot dogs and ice cream! No registration required for this free event.
June 13 – Grand Opening of Joy Park at Children’s Museum of Denver. Activities included with general admission.
