How should our student behave?  Attached is our school’s matrix with information about expected student behavior in and around our school and playground.

Report cards will be going home TODAY!  Ask your student for their report. 

Practical Tips for Parents: Homework Time
First things first…Before your student starts, help your youngster put their assignments in order. Have you noticed your student gets more done when he/she does written work first? If so, your student can complete math worksheet, then practice spelling words, and finally, study science.  Idea:  Suggest to your student to rank homework from hardest to easiest and tackle the more complicated work first.

Spirit Day tomorrow: Students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students!

This week-end, don’t forget to turn your clocks one hour ahead on Sunday, March 14th.

Middle School News and Sports
The girls’ soccer team will practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the back field.

Tryouts for the boys’ baseball team will be held this Monday.

PTSA News:
Join us on Wednesday, March 24th for a Family Reading Night in the library starting at 5:00 p.m.  (see attached flyer)

Correction:  The PTSA meeting will be held on Thursday, March 18th at 3:30 p.m. in the library.  Join us!

¿Cómo deben nuestros estudiantes comportarse? Se incluye la matriz de nuestra escuela con la información sobre comportamiento previsto del estudiante en y alrededor de nuestra escuela y patio.

¡Las boletas de calificaciones irán a casa HOY! Pida a su estudiante su informe.

Consejos Prácticos para los padres: Tiempo de la preparación…las primeras cosas primero… antes de que su estudiante comience, ayude a su joven a poner sus asignaciones en orden. ¿Usted ha notado a su estudiante terminar más tareas cuando él hace el trabajo escrito primero? Si es así, su estudiante puede terminar la hoja de trabajo de la matemática, después practica palabras del deletreo, y finalmente, ciencia del estudio. Idea: Sugiera a su estudiante alinear las tareas de las más difíciles a la más fácil y al “ataque” al trabajo más complicado primero.

Historia verdadera:
Un estudiante de kinder a la oficina central: “No llegue atrasado; mi madre no me despertó.”

Mañana Día de Entusiasmo: los estudiantes se vestirán como maestros y maestros se vestirán como los estudiantes.

Este fin de semana no se olvide de adelantar su reloj una hora el día de Domingo, 14 de marzo de 2010.

Noticias de Secundaria y Deportes:
El quipo femenino de fútbol sostendrá ensayos los martes, miércoles y jueves en los patios atrás de la escuela.

Sostendremos pruebas para el equipo de béisbol masculino este lunes después de escuela. 

Noticias de PTSA:
Acompáñenos el miércoles 24 de marzo para una noche de lectura con la familia en la biblioteca que comienza a las 5:00 P.M. (véase el aviador adjunto)
